March 2022

Dear Neighbours,

A brief update this evening. You will be hearing more from us shortly, including details of our AGM and some opportunities to help support Ukrainian and Afghan refugees.

Project Update: Food Justice

We are hiring a part-time coordinator to focus on our food justice work (and help out with other projects). Please share the ad widely. We are really keen to find someone local for the position.

We continue to partner with St Jude and St Paul’s Church for a weekly food hub every Tuesday between 1pm and 3pm. There is both shopping to take away and hot food to enjoy on site. If you know of anyone who might need be interested please let them know. It is based at a church but it is open to everyone, regardless of background or beliefs.

Feel free to drop any food donations you may have to the church between 12.30pm and 3pm on Tuesdays. Tuna, tinned meats and children’s cereal are always in high demand.

Mildmay Library Consultation

The council are working with architecture practice Public Works to upgrade and expand the offer at Mildmay Library.

There will be an in-person drop-in engagement event 22nd March between 6pm-8pm. Pop along for a few minutes if you can. They are keen to hear both from people that already use Library and those who don't.

There will also be a zoom webinar focusing on the Library as part of an upcoming Mildmay Ward Partnership 23rd Match at 7pm.

Save the Date- Jazz on the Green

Diversity Training Recommendation

We wholeheartedly recommend Impact Culture for anyone seeking to integrate diversity and inclusion in their workplace, school or charity. Get in touch if you want more details.
